Community Yard Sale
Rain or Shine
Email Kim (fftiger18@yahoo.com) to be added to the official sale map/promo list.
No Rain Date: Event is Rain or Shine.
Regarding the Yard Sale "No Rain Date" Policy:
After reviewing feedback from previous years, we have decided not to schedule a rain date. In the past, this policy created significant logistical challenges. Because accurate weather forecasts often require a last-minute decision, it became very difficult to notify the public and update advertisements in time. By sticking to a single, fixed date, we ensure maximum clarity and a better turnout for everyone involved.

Alternative Ways to Rehome or Recycle Your Items
To keep usable goods out of the landfill, we urge neighbors to try the following before Clean Up Day:
Yard Sale Day: Offer your items for free during the community yard sale on April 18.
Buy Nothing Groups: Post your items on our local "Buy Nothing" social media pages.
Donation Pickups: Schedule a pickup with a local charity for items that still have life in them.
Specialty Events: Keep an eye out for upcoming local electronics recycling events and community shred days for items not accepted at our Clean Up Day.
If you are unsuccessful with those endeavors, you are then welcome to bring those items to the dumpsters on Clean Up Day for disposal, provided they are on the "Accepted" list above.
Regarding the Clean Up Day "Trash to Treasure" Change:
Over the past five years, we have seen a high volume of unclaimed items left in the reuse section. These items ultimately require significant extra labor to be moved into the dumpsters at the end of the day, which defeats the purpose of the reuse area.
